Burn Me Out 04:50
Burn me out, draw the lightning down Stand up, face your equal Turn this world around Go on and burn me out, catch me if you can, I'm gonna draw the lightning down Coming bold or meek, stand and face your equal, and we'll turn this world around, oh (Burn me out, draw the lightning down Stand up, strowler Turn this world around) Call me an outcast, call me a thief Close your eyes to my whole magic show Turn away from what I have to say The powerless have powers you will never know We're all just storytellers dreaming out loud to pass the time I know my enemy shares my own fragility but if you've got the spark, you're bound to get fire Go on and burn me out, catch me if you can, I'm gonna draw the lightning down Coming strong or weak, stand and face your equal, and we'll turn this world around Call me a criminal for what I hold inside Behind your eyes you know we are the same Problem child or spirit of solution, revolution doesn't need a lot of flame. Call on the Storyteller, what's in the cards for you? I know the choice is clear: compassion over fear for the magic we can do Go on and burn me out, catch me if you can, I'm gonna draw the lightning down Coming strong or weak, stand and face your equal, and we'll turn this world around Call me an outcast, call me a thief Close your eyes to my whole magic show Turn away from what I have to say The powerless have powers you will never know If you don't have the spark you'll never see fire, but we've got the match right here Let the world awake. Make no mistake we will still be standing when the smoke has cleared Go on and burn me out, catch me if you can, I'm gonna draw the lightning down Coming bold or meek, stand and face your equal, and we'll turn this world around Go on and burn me out, catch me if you can, I'm gonna draw the lightning down There's only one ride if we're gonna survive, we gotta turn this world around We may be out of focus, but we're proud to let it show We burn without the burning and we do not care who knows Try to kill what's beautiful, stand back and watch it grow Got a different kind of burning and we do not care who knows Renegades and rascals, we are all the same as you standing up for magic and the magic we can do Try to hide the mystery, it's gonna shine through We stand up for magic and the magic we can do Burn me out, draw the lightning down Stand up, face your equal Turn this world around

Mirror self, reflect my face Hear my words, take my place Breath and blood will make you whole You have my heart, and I my soul Mirror self, reflect my face Hear my words, take my place Breath and blood will make you whole Take my heart and leave my soul Wolves know their work, so be ready, ready to run and hide "Is this the magic mirror?" Finish the tale and decide. Between the worlds, to and fro Hand in hand, it's time to go Never fear, my mirror girl Step by step, between the worlds Wolves know their work, so be ready to split yourself in two Trust in the tale that you carry Step on through, oh You have my heart, I have my soul Breath and my blood will make you whole Mirror self, reflect my face Hear my words, take my place Breath and blood will make you whole Take my heart, leave my soul Mirror self, reflect my face Hear my words and take my place

Show Me 04:14
Just because it isn't real doesn't mean it isn't true If someone said it wasn't real They don't see the way you do If I told you I believed you, what stories would you tell? Would you feel a little stronger? Would you step out of your shell or would you say it wasn't real until I left you alone? Once upon a time, did someone try to take it away from you? Did you fight for what was real to you? I know that you do. Well, once upon a time is now and the story's come back for you so show me what you can do. If someone said it wasn't true doesn't mean it isn't real You know it behind your eyes and in all that you feel If I tell you I believe you, what stories would you share? Would you feel a little stronger? Would you say that you don't care, or tell me, "no, no, no, no no! Please leave me alone!" Well, we've all got a different right and wrong So we break a little law or we sing a different song Who says what's real, what's right, and what is true? Once upon a time, you lived by the rhyme of the things you knew So why don't you show me what you can do. Come on and show me what you can do!

about

STROWLERS is Zombie Orpheus Entertainment's urban fantasy show concept that tells the stories of “hypercreative malcontent[s]” who have the guts to believe in magic (and to keep practicing it, as well as protecting others with magical abilities, when to do so makes them outlaws).

Sooj is proud to support the project as a songwriter with these three tunes.

"Burn Me Out" is the series anthem, commissioned by show creator Ben Dobyns in 2014, now released for the first time.

"Mirror Self" and "Show Me" were both inspired by the dialogue and characters of the Strowlers pilot episode, screening this February 2018 in the Seattle area, home of the project's heart.

These three songs are an exclusive S. J. Tucker digital EP release, made possible by the support of Zombie Orpheus, Ben Dobyns, and Strowlers worldwide.
