Now comes the solstice night I wish you safe and sound Whether snow be light Or heavy on the ground Our hearts bring back the light As all the earth must do. May stars fill up our sight With wishes coming true. My wish this solstice night Is grace and peace to you. Now comes the time of year When shadow yields the throne The Lords of Oak and Holly The dance that must be done Keep faith and keep your candle The sun is sure to rise O'er the sleepy fields of winter Bringing beauty to our eyes Upon this solstice night I wish you safe and sound Whether snow be light Or heavy on the ground Our hearts bring back the light As all the world must do May stars fill up our sight With wishes coming true. My wish this solstice night Is grace and peace to you.

Out where the darkness lingers Out where the cold wind blows Someone dreadful waits his turn. Better do better next year If you're hoping for reindeer games He's already got your number and your name Teeth and claws and switches and chains For the wicked kinder there is no escape The feast of Krampus comes but once a year It begins tonight. Krampus walks And he will not be denied. Some say he rises from below But not from the hell that little angels know Loki's grandchild comes by night. Far more than an empty threat Far worse than a lump of coal If he hasn't found you yet, sit tight. He'll skin you slowly or he'll swallow you whole Perhaps you'll get off easy, perhaps you won't. Stinking breath and pointed tongue It begins tonight. Krampus comes and he will not be denied. Ice and fire hunting, terror and regret No gentle ghost of Christmas past Across the frozen mountains Through the howling snow I'm sure he'll save the worst for last I'm sure he'll save the worst for last. Teeth and claws and switches and chains For the wicked hearted there is no escape The feast of Krampus comes but once a year It begins tonight. Krampus walks And he will not be denied.

Hail to the Oak and Holly Kings! Solstice comes around again. Winter's giving way to spring, as Samhain yields to snow. Hail to the Oak and Holly Kings, Annwn to Abred & back again! To the brothers wild & strong we sing, Hail to the Oak & Holly! Holly feeds the winter birds and sets a fever right. Winter makes us laud the spring and mull the wine to mark the Longest Night. Two brothers war unseen and each will come to yield in his turn. Thus we thrive, as the foxes in the field. In Oaken shelter, sun and shade, we live and work and play. Summer labors fill our stores, and so we celebrate the Longest Day. Two brothers bow and turn again, trading blows and marking time, all unseen, in truth and tale and rhyme. Blessings on your house at Wintertide as on the other side our kindred watch the summer sun sweetly rise. Blessings on your house at bright midsummer as on the other side our kindred gather close to bide the long winter's night

By turns witchy and sassy, folkloric and festive and fierce, all that passes for holiday music in Sooj's ever growing catalogue as of December 2019.
