Single release, January 2019
This lullaby came about because of a call to action on Craigslist, requesting new lullabies and songs that could be sung by those demonstrating against the separation of asylum seeker families, outside of US border detention centers. Please download the track for free and consider donating what you would have given to the artist to the ACLU, who are still fighting for the legal rights of the parents and children who have been taken from each other and/or detained at our southern border- people of all ages who have done nothing wrong in arriving at proper checkpoints, and whose lives will never be the same.
Please note: I am not at all fluent in Spanish, and I apologize for any shortcomings in my choice of lyrics or my pronunciation. Lo siento. Many thanks to those more fluent than I who gave me their advice and critique of this piece as I was writing it. --S. J.

M'ija, m'ija
¿Que tal tu dia?
Descansa y sueña tan dulce
En ti, veo un arbol
alto y fuerte, y maleable
con el viento
M'ijo, M'ijo,
¿Que tal tu dia?
Descansa y sueña tan dulce
En ti, veo un arbol
alto y fuerte, y maleable
con el viento
Girl child, girl child,
how was your day?
Rest now and dream so sweetly
In you, I see a tree
tall and strong,
able to bend with the wind
Boy child, boy child,
how was your day?
Rest now and dream so sweetly
In you, I see a strong, tall tree
able to bend with the wind

I would happily stroll the green with the Professor if the opportunity came. So very posh, and yet so very silly. Who wouldn't love a chap like this? He inspires me to parasol-rap of my own. <3 S. J. Tucker
Ginger (they, them) is my favorite recording engineer, bandmate, soulmate, and straight-up genius. This Cocoon is their first solo release. Favorite track: "Made It Home". I sang backup on "Masks" S. J. Tucker
Dogwood is the real deal: mythology, wit, whimsy, wisdom, and outstanding musical chops. Do please eat the pomegranate seeds so that you can stay a while and listen. S. J. Tucker
